1-800-4-A-PHONE1 phoneco ripoff, Quoted 1 price before charging card another price after. I declined service because of dishonesty wont refund my $69.99

I called 1-800-4-A-Phone on April 12th to set up home phone service.

After giving the customer service agent all of my information, I asked if there were going to be any addtional or hidden costs that I would need to know about. I even asked if that price included taxes. He assured me that was the total cost $49.99.
He than took my credit card info, He than told me my total was $69.99??

I than asked why it would come to $69.99 If there were no other charges? He than repeated " that is the cost of the tax in your area" I was so furious, I told hiom to cancel my order. I wouldn't be dealing with a dishonest company. When I asked about crediting the amount back to my card he said they had to wait 6-14 days. I than asked to speak with a supervisor, He said "I would have to call a different number". When I a called back I was transfered 3 times and than disconnected.

2nd call, 4-23-04 I spoke to a female customer service agent and she told me that the amount had been credited back to my account on the 20th, I than called my bank and it wasn't there. I gave it a couple more days

3rd call on the 30th.
Yet another customer service person. She said the same thing that the money had been returned on the 20th. I had called to check my account before this call and there was no record of any transaction from that business. She told me that she would research this and for me to call back in a couple days. She had to make sure it wasn't credidted to the wrong account.
4th call May12th,

I spoke with a CSA Nielson Davis He would not give me to the supervisor, He told me he would research this account and to call him in 4 days.

Y 21st 2004 I still have not recieved my $69.99
