Ripoff misdirected mail gives company excuse for not fulfilling rebate

I submitted a rebate offer by iconcepts/Sakar in December. After waiting 8 weeks, I contacted the rebate fulfillment house and I was told that they had not received my rebate submission. I was also told that this manufacturer does not accept copies of submissions, therefore I would be unable to resubmit a copy of the rebate. I found the company information for Sakar and called them. I was told the exact same information. They also added that they were not "responsible for lost or misdirected mail".

That's convenient for them, isn't it! I wonder who really lost or misdirected the mail!? Since they have not received my information, thus a check has not been issued—so I wonder what iconcepts/Sakar thinks they are gaining by playing this game. Of course they are gaining more money by not having to honor the rebate, but do they realize they are losing more by having a discontented customer?
