Ripoff and Misleading Sales

We purchased a High Definition TV from Circuit City for $4,800 in Jan'01 with the extended service plan. We specifically asked about the ability of renewal of contract. We were assured that it could be renewed on this type of product. When the service agreement was about to expire we called Circuit City to renew and were told that they were no longer offering a renewal on this TV. Guess what, 2 weeks after the contract expired, the TV went out.

I called Circuit City and as passed from department to department. I finally ended up in Customer Relations. They were rude and questioned why I was even calling? I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they would take my number and someone would get back to me.

The bottom line, they took the $800 for the service contract and ran and now I have to pay for the repairs. This is fraud. Circuit City could care less about Customer Relations and customer satisfaction. Do not ever purchase a service contract from Circuit City you are wasting your money.
