Ripoff! No answer from e-mails and phone calls made for rebate. Status

I purchase a Buslink External 8X DVD writer thru CompUSA. It included 2 rebates:

Rebate 1 - Promotion offer 0008443 for $20 to Buslink Dept EAH, PO Box 100475, White Bear Lake, MN 55110-0475.
Rebate 2 - Promotion Offer 0008442 for $30 to BusLink Dept EAG, PO Box 100475, White Bear Lake, MN 55110-0475.

I have had not notice from them in regards to the status whether they have received them or processing them. I sent them on 3/19/04. I have sent them e-mails to determine my rebate status as well as phone voice messages made 3 times to (877) 684-6462 Ext 512 but to no avail. No one even the operator will pick up the phone. They all require you to leave a message so that they can determine if they need to call you back or not.
I am very frustrated by these practices. I have heard thru the internet that BusLink has a bad reputation of not responding to requests on rebate status or claims.

I believe that the Buslink Executives and the company need to be more responsible and accountable for their actions. I can imagine the hundreds of rebates claims being ignored. This is a travesty. This is also unprofessional in their business practices.

If I don't hear from them soon (a couple of days), I will contact my State District Attorney and file a complaint against the company.in addition, I will file a complaint with the California district attorney for the state and both states for BBB.

I do hope in their great wisdom, they contact me and renew my confidence in them. I believe these companies that sell their products and then rip-off the rebate claims are deplorable. These condoned actions by these companies needs to be accountable.
