Warranty repair complaint - extended warranty

I renewed my warranty on a GE washer this past fall. Previously I had to use the warranty for a repair, and it was a huge repair, the entire drum. Service was slow and took 2 weeks. This time around, they say they "cannot find my contract", yet I used their own envelope and return letter and material to send in my renewal with my check. I dont believe for a minute they cant find the contract - i believe they threw it away, even along with the 25$ payment (that way I can never find my cancelled check - but its worth it FOR THEM in the long run. SEND YOUR RENEWALS BY CERTIFIED MAIL FROM NOW ON!!! Now I need another minor repair and they offered me a much more expensive "broken appliance warranty" (I cant make this stuff up!) for "considerably more", in other words, I could practically buy a new washer for this so called "warranty"
I loathe getting cheated, and lied to, and put in a position to trust when there is nothing to trust. Judging from the sheer volume of bad reviews GE has on this issue of warranties, seems there is nothing that can be done - even BBB requires an address, and these people cannot be located! I am located in Michigan - where are they??
