Electronics and household app.
Here is a copy of a letter I wrote to Dish network this morning. It says it all!
We have had dish network for four years now. I have called numerous times over the years to request local channels, and have been told we "didn't qualify" and they didn't know when we would. This morning I tried again, and was told they were available. I was very excited! But to my dismay, I was informed that I would have to purchase a new "super dish" at $24.95, and "unfortunately" I would have to upgrade my receivers at a cost of 149.00.
I was flabbergasted! I was talking to "Julia" at the time. I asked to talk to a supervisor, and was put on hold. I got cut off. I called back at 9:50 A.M. And asked to talk to a supervisor. A girl named "Yara" then told me the same information. I was told by her that I could get the upgrades cheaper if I signed up for movie channels. I told her I wasn't interested in movie channels, but only wanted locals. She then said, and I quote, "The equipment you have is already out-dated." I then repeated this statement back to her, and noted that calls are recorded and noted the time, and then told her I was going to quote her on that, and she promptly hung up on me.
I am going to get rid of your system as fast as I can, and get direct tv like I should have in the first place.in the mean time, I am going to start a letter writing campaign informing unsuspecting potential customers about the way you mislead new customers, and that hundreds of dollars worth of equipment is "out-dated, " (your words), within four years. I will also include information about your "wonderful" customer service. I will start with our local papers here in WI, and end up with USA today. Thank you for four years of getting the run-around. I will tell all my friends!
