I was on my way home from Chaffey College when I was approached by a 6'1 220lb white male with a EBA jacket on. He seemed official. He told me that he had "the bomb ass shit to slang for cheap." I checked it out. He appeared to be high on some type of addictive drug. That made me slightly suspicious.
In San Bernardino, where I live, there are many individuals that we call "crack heads". I put him in this category, but I had to check it out. I don't get paid much and I trust street dealers, for the most part. He had a blue Astro Van full of AudioFile stereo equipment. He made me feel comfortable because he was quite articulate. I needed a home theater system so I told him that I would be really interested in that if he had one. He showed me The HT 5 Pro Cinema Set. He said it was worth up to 1200 dollars.
I asked him what he wanted for it. He said "make me an offer" I said twenty-five bucks. He said "its yours". I went home with lots of excitement I hooked up the system and I love it. The chinese make great products.
I jumped on the internet to find out how good of a deal I really got. I now realize that I overpayed tromendously.
