Comcast
Accused of not returning cable boxes that were returned

Electronics and household app.

I was a ATT Broadband customer who is now Comcast, when i terminated service in October of i promptly returned 2 cable boxes to avoid being charged almost $600.00. A receipt was given to me, and the clerk told me to hold on to it for 6 months, I did so and as I prepared my 2002 taxes i came upon the receipt and disposed of it thinking everything was ok. Then I got a letter from CMI credit management (collections) claiming if I dont pay it will go against my credit.

I contacted various departments of Comcast (from billing to residential to business services) and finally got someone who said a Comcast rep would get a hold of me within 14 days with a decision. Never happened. I continue calling to this day with absoulty no luck. CMI reported this to credit authorities, damaging my credit because I REFUSE to pay for something i no longer have. And CMI will not help me or give me Comcast Corporate info, instead treating me like a felon.

I have no clue what to do about this, as now my credit is permenetlly damaged. Also Comcast never sent me a bill or letter or anything, they just turned it over to collections who WILL NOT deal with you, just collect money. I would appreciate any help.
