Ink you have to used every time you change a cartridge

Every time you run out off ink and you change the cartridge you have to print several pages using all colors (even when you change only the black) and the printer do nothing until you wasted a lot of ink. (in whole pages)
when you contact H P they said their printers are desing to do that (how convenient)
I feel this is a waste of ink and you know they are expensive
