Do not trust online product reviews

I purchased a JVC Everio GZ-MG630 Sapphire Blue 60GB HDD with 40x Optical Zoom, 2.7" LCD from Walmart for $399.00. I picked this camcorder based on customer reviews. The product was totally substandard and not even worth buying.
I made two attempts to put up a negative review on Walmart.com regarding this camcorder's poor video quality. It doesn't even have digital image stabilization for stills, which you read in the fine print once you open the box. We have about a dozen photos and maybe 10 videos worth keeping from a two-week trip to the Smoky Mountains.
None of my reviews have showed up on Walmart.com.in fact, there are less reviews on this camera that originally, just seven as opposed to the 39 I first read.
Walmart decides which reviews to post, you can not trust the customer experience and/or reports.in other words, the stars next to each product don't mean a thing. Walmart controls the reviews.
I didn't realize this until I attempted my second negative report on the same camera, after of which a disclaimer comes (quickly) that says Walmart decides what to post.
If you need anything from Walmart, skip the company's Web site reviews and find an outside source, those reviews are as good as fake since they do not accurately reflect what customers think of the product. This is fale advertising in my book, especially when you are allowed to search by the star ratings! Why have that star rating at all. Walmart, be honest, let customers freely post their sastification with the products, otherwise everything you sell outside toilet paper is suspect.
