Electronics and household app.
Althoug Epson is following the law, according to a ruling several years ago, I am sending a warning out to other consumers. For those of you who have found comfort in after market ink refills, allowing the cost of printing at home to be reasonable, be prepared for Epson's monopoly. Because of a court hearing, Epson is now allowed to place chips in their printers that forbid the use of any ink refill cartrige other than their own. Obviously, the price gouging is incredible. As usual, you can practically by a new computer for the price of one complete refill of their ink cartriges. The real scan that they are committing is that they are putting out rebates and sales that allow their printers to look like a significant bargain compaired to the other printer brands. Obviously, they do not warn you about the expensive ongoing costs of ink refills.
Again, they are not breaking any laws. They have already addressed that. However, the marketplace needs to know the reality of how expensive it is to own an Epson printer.
