Pushy Salesman and deceptive tactics

After purchasing a 42" Plasma online that included free shipping! I received an email the next day from a Larry Thompson, (1-800-992-2237. EXT 272) (I see he was mentioned on here before). Here is the email text:

Thank you for your recent online order with Abe's Of Maine.com. We appreciate your business and interest in our products. Please call us as soon as possible at toll free 1-800-992-2237. EXT 272

Once I called back I spoke with Larry who informed me that "Free Shipping" was not that good and that they would be doing me a favor by splitting the cost of shipping and putting it on a direct route for $60. He was gonna cut me a break and not charge me $120. He would also upgrade my wall mount and send me some online coupons. I asked him why they would promote free shiping only to tell me that it was not good and try and upsell me. He really put the full court press on and I eventually went with the $60 charge, as I was splitting it with others for a bday gift. After our exchange he tried to upsell me HDMI cables. I have purchased from most of the other major players online, (crutchfield, NewEgg, Amazon, etc) I have never experienced a upsell Bait/Switch tactic like this.

I think that this Larry is shady and was extremely pushy and un professional! I will never buy from Abes of Maine again.

I hope that this TV comes in appropriately.
