Worst shopping experience IN MY LIFE!

While shopping for a GPS device (Garmin Nuvi 885T) I found trusteddealer.com through PriceGrabber. The item was offered at $548.00 with free FedEx shipping. Two days after placing my order, a rep from trusteddealer.com phoned saying my order was ready and they were just confirming my shipping address. He then offered me items "necessary" to may the system more efficient/last longer (two years maps, insurance). I declined.

A day later I received an email which had my purchase priced out at $681.25. I called to question this bill (including $9.95 for the "FREE" FedEx shipping) and the guy who finally ending up taking my call asked if I was just trying to get him to discount the item. I said I was trying to get a reason for the discrepancy in pricing. He was so rude that I asked for his supervisor and he said he was the boss. I asked him to cancel the order and he said it was already shipped out and said I should just refuse it when FedEx tries to deliver.

As it turns out, the GPS was not even shipped until the following evening! I did refuse it when it came, but they have only given me credit for $525.30. I called to question this and they screamed at me, saying they are going to sell my car (no idea what he's talking about)!! One man even said to "f*k your bank and f*k you, too." There is something wrong with this outfit and in all my years as a consumer I have never been treated so rudely/dishonestly.

I made an assumption that, since I was referred to them through PriceGrabber that they were okay. I will never make that assumption again. After this experience I googled Trusted Dealer and find many, many others have had negative experiences as well. Why, oh why didn't I do this research prior to my purchase?

I am filing a dispute of the non-refunded charges with my bank and have canceled my credit card and requested the bank to issue a replacement (I truly believe these weirdos would try to charge something else in the future). I hope someone can stop this organization from taking advantage of people - really, I just wanted to buy a GPS system.
