I got an unexpected charge on my monthly qwest bill for $45. I looked closely at teh cahrges and it was for a type B collect call. My wife took the call from her mother in Ok. And the call only lasted 30 seconds or less. Her mother said call me at home, and my wife hung up and called her back.

The cahrge for the call was $37.30 and with an additional barrage of bogus charges billed by intellical op svcs totaling 8.03.

Total cost of the "4" min. Call? $45.33
(the call was probably less than 30 seconds)

How is this legal? Why doesn't Qwest protect me from these predatory billing practices?

Never accept any collect calls again. Warning!!!
