Verizon Wireless
Won't replace faulty phone Nationwide

Electronics and household app.

Ok so I got a Blackberry Pearl in June. Everything was perfectly fine until about September. It started acting weird like deleting my text messages and calling people randomly on its own. I called up Verizon and they took me through a few steps and all was good. They told me to call back in a week to see if the problems were still there.

Well they were. So I called them up and they sent me a replacement. All was well, up until 2 weeks after I received it. Same exact things began happening. Called them up and they told me to take some steps to try and resolve the problem. Since I've done these troubleshooting steps before I had already done them before i called. Sot hey issued me a second replacement.

I got the second one and, again, all was fine. One month later same things happened. I called them up and they issued me another replacement.

Again it was all good up until the end of November. SAME exact problems occured. I called them and they said this is a special isolated case and they will let me get a completely different model of phone. So i picked the new HTC Touch Pro. I payed the retail difference and it also reset my NE2 ($100 discount on any phone every 2 years).

Lo and behold, the phone is terrible. It is extremely slow. Now first i thought it was just me, but i got to searching online through the forums and apparently there are many people with this same problem. So I called up Verizon and told them I wanted to return the phone. Me and the guy on the phone got to talking and was telling me that I should have gotten the Storm instead. I said that I actually wanted to exchange the Touch Pro for the Storm.

So I was put on hold while the rep was talking to his supervisor and checking if I could do this. He comes back to tell me that I couldn't because getting the Touch Pro as a replacement was a one-time deal. Now I'm thinking, my NE2 was reset and i paid the retail difference between the 2 phones, it seems as if it would be normal for the Worry free guarantee to apply in this situation.

The guy even told me, no one will ever completely know how a smartphone works until thye actually own one. This is the point of the whole Worry Free Guarantee policy. It just makes sense that I would be able to exchange the Touch Pro for a Storm.

Now I'm stuck with the (faulty) Pearl for another 2 years. I am really upset about this and I don't know where to go from here.
