Audiofile & EAB Distributors rip off Lake Zurich

Well, it looks like I got ripped off. My friend and I were exiting a mcdonalds in my town of Sheboygan, WI and these two guys drove up in a silver dodge durango asking if i was interested in a home theatre system.

I thought it was free so I went over to investigate. The guy (about 5'10" with reddish blonde hair and smoked) opened the back door and said he had 2 extra systems to get rid of and he showed me a sheet that said they were worth 949.00. He offered them to me at a discounted price of 500. I told him i could pull that, at best it would be 200. He countered with 250 and i said ok.

He gave me the system and he said he would follow me to the bank to get the money. Driving to the bank my frind and I were debating if this was legit. If I had my other car, I probably would of ran and just outrun him ripping him off.

When we got to the bank, his partner (About 5' 10" with black hair and a few tattos and piercings) asked if there was a bathroom inside. He really just wanted to make sure i got the money out. Anyways, when i got outside he handed me a receipt with his company name and took the money without counting it and left.

Well, right then i was thinking I could of given him 100 bucks and he wouldn't of known. I checked the box and everything was there and it looks pretty good. But, I still had doubts and later checked the internet and found this was the only site that had any information about the company.

These people looked real legit. They had hats and sweatshirts with EAB distributors stitched on them. The receipt had an address and they gave me a phone number. I also have the truck description and plate number.

My questions are, one, are the speakers any good. I purchased a Audiofil Ht 5 Pro cinema set. I only purchased them with the intent of selling them but are they worth 250 or no. Second, why has there not been more news coverage about this scam. I read other complaints and they sounded a lot less legit than mine. I mean, mine pretty well looked legit. Can I call the cops on them and report them. Should I call my local news and ask them to investigate. Please give your imput on this. Thank-you
