Con artists scam ripoff

I was driving south in the frontage road on Mopac by Far West and these two guys in a white Cadillac Escalade were yelling at me telling me to pull over. They said they wanted to give me some speakers.

Just like other people have said, he claimed the factory gave him extra pairs of the 830lr audiofile speakers and if he took them to his boss, his boss would hand him $20 and take the speakers. He said he wanted to sell one pair so he would have money to put the others in storage for himself.

He also had some kind of audio receiver which was "worth $1000." I was shown a catalog with the speakers priced at $1400 or something like that, I was also shown a warranty. I ended up buying the pair for $420.

The guy driving didn't talk much and stayed in the car. He had brown hair to his shoulders, looked about 21. The other guy had real short hair, spiked I think. He also looked around 21, and acts like he's your best friend.

He talked pretty fast too, acting like he was excited to have these speakers. Both guys were average size, 150-170 lbs maybe. He said the Escalade was his boss' car. He also said they were from Southwest in San Marcos.

What makes me mad is he said he was taking these speakers to install them in Joy, which is way on the other side of town and in the opposite direction. I caught this and a few other hints that made me a little suspicious, but I saw the price in the catalog and it looked like a good way for me to make a little extra cash. That's the last time I buy anything from the streets again. I just hope that these idiots get caught, or maybe I'll see them again and give the cops a ring.
