AT&T lies, lies, lies and no customer service

I was solicited by at&t about 2 months ago and it sounded like a good deal-$72.00 per month for unlimited long distance and high speed internet. So after talking to the customer service rep for over 20 minutes and having her assure me numerous times that my monthly cost INCLUDING taxes would be $72.00 I agreed to switch. Well there was a $50.00 equipment rebate that i was supposed to receive immediately, but after about 10 calls to customer service i finally received it about 40 days later. Well what really angers me is that at NO time during any of our conversations was i told that my first bill would be for 2 months service - so when i received a bill for $220.00 i was pissed! So after another 5 calls to customer service i didn't get anywhere so i just decided to go ahead and pay it and spare me the misery of being put on hold anymore. Well the next months bill which i received about 15 days ago was for $115.00!!! So again i got the runaround on the phone and got tired of it, so i thought i would pay it, but i don't have that amount right now (i DO have other bills besides at&t)- since i thought it was only going to be $72.00. So anyway 5 days ago i received a shutoff notice for only 2 days after i received the notice!!! And guess what - those bastards shut off my long distance service today!!! I turned them into the FCC because they took 2 months worth of money from me and then shut off my phone after only one month - i have no contract with them or anything (thank god) so i either want my service turned back on or my money back!!! They are the biggest ripoffs & liars ever - don't ever do business with AT&T if you value your money or time because they will take them both!!!
