Cellular phone insurance a ripoff, they failed to honor valid claim citing policy not in policy summary

Cell phone insurance company failed to honor claim because they said I did not provide an "incident" for claim. Obviously, the phone has been dropped and has cracked screen which may or may not be related to the earpiece speaker quitting to work. However, policy says that they cover mechanical or electrical breakdown for 5 years. They said being it had previous damage then the mechanical or electrical provision was not covered. I asked for them to point out these specific on the policy and they were unwilling and unable to point these out. This insurance is a joke. I spoke with 2 agents and 1 supervisor.
