I stupidly bought a new computer from Conn's, as I wasn't in the position to pay cash for one. I asked if it had XP as the operating system - the salesman said yes - lie #1. They had a 0 interest for 12 months but didn't bother to tell me that the bill had to be paid and posted 10 days before the actual due date. They tacked on un-needed insurance, and didn't bother to even ask if I had renter's insurance (which I did). After I figured out that I was NOT going to get this pc interest free, this bill went to the bottom of my priority list when I lost my job. There were about 3 months that I was late with my payment - but not more than 10 days - and they called me daily from day 4. Every time I told them exactly what day I would make payment, but they continued to call anyway.in May 10 months after the original purchase, I paid it off in full. I made 10 payments of $59, a $100 cash down payment, and my payoff was still almost $800, which was more than the original price. These people are liars, cheaters, and they are rude and obnoxious once you sign on the dotted line. Beware of Conn's - they live up to the name - you'd be better off going to a rent to own place - at least you know they're gonna rip you off!!
