So much for customer service

After viewing an advertisement for GeorgeUry.com in Shutterbug magazine, I chose to browse the site. Though obviously organized by somebody with limited internet-building understanding, George had some good rates on applied camera lenses—among which captured my attention instantly.

Because he did not have a choice to order online (rather choosing to complete purchase-by-telephone — red-flag: the guy is caught previously), I delivered him a contact to inquire about the accessibility to this contact. He responded in under half an hour ("Incredible, " I imagined. "This men might be oldfashioned, but he is seriously interested in customer support!") confirming the contact was in-stock.

Our next obvious request was "have you got an image of it?" Obviously I am not likely to deliver $600 to somebody online-based solely on the explanation of the merchandiseis quality. He's a pleasant score program, but, just like all score methods, they're 100% subjective. Their concept of "Mint" mightn't sync with mine. I determine the man offers in cameras, therefore certainly he's a little camera around to picture their own items (heck, actually eBayers are designed for that much).

Their reaction was brief and nice. "I don't have a picture of this contact."

Nothing else. No worrying with OBTAINING a picture. No comprehensive explanation of the contact to create up for this. Nothing. The inference was, "I Have got no picture. I am not likely to have a picture. Should younot enjoy it, wander off."

So essentially, the man is just a device with about one half iota of client understanding in his body. I truly would not wish to place him out by seeking a photograph of his items. But when he wont create that additional work (if you're able to contact it that) this early within the sale, what're the chances he'll provide qualified support within the actually that issues drop slope following the sale?
