This is to warn anyone that may be considering a Toshiba TIVO box, DO NOT buy it! Their technical support is almost non-existant! I called for assistant with set-up and was told that they did not have a tech there and that someone would call within 24 hours.

I told them that I could not sit around for 24 hours waiting for a call and they should be able to give me an aprox. Time. They said if they called and I was not home, then they would call bach (Within ANOTHER 24 hours!). I asked for a supervisor and then spoke to Rick Phillips. He basically told me that was their policy and if I did not like it too bad. I asked for his supervisor and he said quite smugly that he would have his supervisor call me... Within 24 hours!

Not my idea of funny nor is it my idea of good customer service. I tried to find a corporate contact in the states to no avail.

So if you were considering this product (Or any other) I would keep right on looking. Their customer service is pathetic!
