Reception Impossible After Install, Then Sent to Collection

Installation was made on a home where it was impossible to receive reception. I canceled service and returned the equipment, but Direct TV still billed me for service that I wasn't receiving and refused to refund my initial equipment and installation charges. They then sent me to collection, and it took months to get this straightened out. It is still showing as a collection on my credit report and impacting my ability to get a home loan. What a nightmare.
