Baited by a rebate offer, I purchased a laptop at Circuit City. I followed the directions exactly and sent all the required documentation for the $100 rebate — using the form printed out at purchase. Nearly 2 months later, I received a postcard stating that I did not qualify because the purchase was not made within the rebate period. (It obviously was, since I used the form printed out at the time of purchase.) I was given the opportunity to "appeal." I did and received no reply.
Circuit City has lost my business forever — and I am urging everyone else I can communicate with to not buy from that retailer.
