I sent 27867,21 us dollars for high end Hi-fi equipment i never got

In October of last year through an ad i saw in Audiogon.com there were some high end speakers for sale 4999 dollars in actual fact. I contacted this mister Shawn Steele and made arrangements to wire transfer the money before he sent the goods. He sounded an honest person and we even struck up a fairly good relationship over the phone.

Since i live in Spain and american branded goods are usually much more expensive over here, he said that he had a brother a inlaw called Tim who had an audio store in Pensacola and that he could sell me new equipment just over cost price. I said that i had to have the equipment with european specs otherwise it would not work over here. He said that they sold equipment to the US military based in europe and around the world and that wouldn't be a problem.

I had a friend of mine who was interested in some equipment also. Shawn said that it would be better and wait until all the goods were there and we would send it all out together and the freight company would come out cheaper.

I sent him 4 wire transfers adding up to over 27000 us dollars. This was all settled and ready to ship in the middle of November. Well he says that the freight company had lost some of the equipment but avoids giving me their contact address. I have never received any documentation with proof of shipment.

Then about a month ago he said that the shipping company could not send the equipment. He also said he had resent the equipment through another company called R&R which he also has not provided me with any contact details or tracking number.

I sent him all the money to his Girl friend Deanna Andrews account so this also implies her. He now says that he is going to refund me the full amount. But i have a feeling that he will not carry out his word.

I feel he keeps lying to me with new excuses. I said that if i didnt receive the goods then i would demand a full refund, and that i was already ready to go to an attorney but he said he did not want to go through any legal process and that this would cause problems with his fiance since she is involved too.

Its a large part of my savings which i have invested in this and i have also had to pay my friends money back which he sent of nearly 13000 us dollar (part of the full amount)
