Rebate ripoff

Dish Network is ripping off new customers.in november I signed up for dish network. Part of my package was a $200 dollar rebate, $20 dollars off per month for ten months. I sent the paperwork in with my first bill as instructed. When I recevied the next months bill I was still being charged in full. I called Dish network and spoke to a rep in India. She said the rebate would be entered into the system and my bill would be corrected. My next billing statement showed no discount.

I called again and spoke to another rep in India. I asked to be disconnected and wanted a full refund. The rep transferred me to someone in the US. She was sorry for the problem and said that she would enter the code into my account to receive the rebate.

The next bill came and again no rebate. I called and asked to disconnect and wanted a full refund. This time they said I could not cancel without full payment since I had agreed to an 18 month service. I said I agreed based on their rebate and they had not fulfilled their obligation. They then threatened my credit rating if I cancelled. Checking my bill on-line today and still no rebate.

Don't let the 30 day guarenteed refund fool you. Since you have to send in the paperwork with the first billing statement and then wait to see if it is applied on the second billing statement the 30 day time period for a satatisfaction guarentee refund is well over.
