My Logitech G7 mouse Rebate Rip-Off

On March 15 I purchased a Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse from amazon.com, with a $50 mail-in-rebate from Logitech. I strictly followed the procedures on the rebate form, and sent all the required stuff to Dept. 73224, Logitech Rebates, P.O. Box 134, Niagara Falls, NY 14302-0134.

On April 13 I received an email from Logitech@ cs. Rebatestatus.com acknowledging the validity of my rebate request and promised me I would receive the rebate in 6~8 weeks.

But by the end of June I have not received any rebate from Logitech. Then I called 1-866-533-6880 provided from the above email (also available from logitech. Rebatestatus.com). With a BIG surprise, I was told by Logitech Rebate CS that my rebate check was sent out on 06/02, and was cashed by somebody on 06/08. I told the logitech rebate CS I did not receive it. The CS promised me that he would send a copy of the canceled check in question in 4 weeks. But 4 weeks passed, I still did not receive any copy of the canceled check in question. I called again and again. Three times the rebate CS promised me to send a copy of the cancelled check. But up to now I have not received either the copy of the cancelled check, or the rebate check. I sent many emails to customer. Service@cs. Rebatestatus.com asking for their help, but they never reply. The Logitech Rebate Custom Service is terrible.

The CS number in the submitted rebate form: 1-866-533-6880 is a Logitech Rebate CS number. You can verify this from this website: logitech.com/index. Cfm? Page=utilities/home&countryid =19&languageid=1&contentid =10260. It greets people by saying: "Thank you for calling Logitech Rebate fulfillment Center...". But the email from Logitech@ cs. Rebatestatus.com leaves people an impression it is an Amazon.com rebate. I called Amazon.com. They confirmed it is a Logitech Rebate. Enclosed is the email I sent to Logitech@ cs. Rebatestatus.com:

4 weeks have passed. I have not yet received any copy
of the canceled check in question.

Pls help check what is the problem of the Logitech
Rebate processing. Otherwise I have no option but
filing a formal complaint to Better Business Bureau.
