U.S. Cellular
Rebate ripoff new bern, n.C

Electronics and household app.

I hate to rant about my menial rebate issue, however, I am tired of these big companies getting over on their consumers. I purchased a cellphone in Dec. 2005 as a Christmas present.

Purchasing the new cell phone also included a $30 rebate for the phone. The customer service rep. Was very nice and even filled out the rebate form and made all the copies required for the rebate.

The only information I had to fill out was my name and address. I sent the rebate form in the day after my purchase so I know they got it on time (I think the deadline was March).

I finally called 1-888-944-9400 and was greeted by a very rude customer service rep, who told me that she the rebate was not filled out correctly. When I told her that the U.S. Cellular rep. That sold the phone to me filled out the rebate, she told me that she would have to contact the corporate office and locate the rebate.

Im sure that they never would have contacted me if I had not initiated the call and Im sure that I wont hear anything from them unless I call them back. I did not purchase the cell phone for the rebate and have had good service with U.S. Cellular but the rebate lies need to stop.
