Ripoff Support phone number disconnected, email returns undeliverable

I rec'd a brand new CyberHome DVR 1600 DVD Recorder and Player for Mother's Day, May. Just opened it and it doesn't work (DOA).

Tried to call the company "support line" but the 1-888 phone number is disconnected. The e-mails I send are returned, "undeliverable to address." I tried to contact the webmaster on the www.cyberhome.com website and they don't list one. The "contact us" link on the website is broken ("Page cannot be found").

When I call the number listed on White Pages.com for the business, I got a phone tree in Fremont, California, that nobody answers when you press any of the keys. Is this company going out of business? I looked for information about the company on the web but couldn't find any.

Beware. Ripoff!
