Cell phone ripoff

My son purchased a cell phone that is no longer an available model with cingular from this company. The company stated that the cell phone was new. It was advertised on the web site as a cingular phone. It was 2 days before i even got an invoice from them and then had to e-mail a couple more times to see if it had been shipped. I knew this was not a good sign after receiving the phone which was locked to a t-mobile customer, it worked if you stood in the living room of our house by the window but if you moved away from there it would read cingular "no service" or emergency calls only. Imagine my surprise after calling cingular support and them informing me that the phone was registered to a user in Chicago about 190 miles away from our house. It was registered to a t-mobile customer. After several days of emails and trying to get a response from mobilebee.com they finally after 3 requests sent me an rma number. They received the phone and stated that it had a scratch on it and the phone was not defective. It would be a restocking fee of 30% which was approx. $52. I have filed a dispute with my credit card but would like to get their name out there on the net so no one will ever have to go througth what i have gone through with these people. It has been two full weeks and we are just getting started with a mediator on what will happen. They said of course, that their policy iws if the phone is not defective. After learning of my dispute they stopped all communications. I would like to warn anyone considering this company, please save yourself a lot of grief and misery and buy elsewhere!!!
