Ripoff, terrible, dishonest of Best Buy, lost $100 due to LATE invalid check

Electronics and household app.

This is experience with Best Buy has left me no choice but to think lowly with their LACK of BUSINESS ETHIC. I bought a huge purchase which rendered me a promised $100 rebate. I photocopied all the forms, receipts, mailing envelops and did the whole process. It was in September. Not only did I receive a late check written to be EXPIRED and VOID in January, but it was sent a month after the void check date! The bank could not cash it as a result of this.

I called bestbuy customer service, because god knows, who can you call? Or even talk to about the situation? I went in person to my best buy store that I purchased the item at, and YET, no one would attend to me when they found out I had a rebate problem, and just told me to call customer service.

I called and they verified my address and said they sent a second one, but I curiously, NONE ever came to my door! I called a few months later, knowing how slow the process goes, and they say they cannot do anything, because quote: "we cannot send two checks, and it is the customer's FAULT"??

What kind of low customer service does BEST BUY have? I will never see my $100 again, and BEST BUY CHEATED YET ANOTHER CUSTOMER.

I will go on the NEWS and make a true and sworn testimony to this about the illegitimate practice and FRAUD of BEST BUY CORPORATION on this matter. My friends tell me I am very camera friendly, so I will not even hesitate to get the word out on this deceitful Best Buy "corporation".

I would like to report to the Better Business Bureau about the unlawful practices of Best Buy. I have already reported to the local news station in San Francisco, where they list community members that have been victims of BEST BUY and thier practices.

This sort of rebate problem should really be frowned upon, which is why I am thankful that people are becoming aware. I am a college student and this sort of incident makes an impression on me about Best Buy and what they really care about - cheating people out of their money. Best Buy has yet to make amends with me. And I will continue to persist about the problem, all the way to high connections. You should to.
