I had cellular services with Verizon Wireless. I called them back in June to discontinue my services due to divorce and job loss. I told the rep to send me a final bill. At the time he told me the bill was $500 and some odd dollars. Not over 600. Well I never received a bill. One day I receive a letter in the mail for over $1100.00! I called and talked to a lady and set up payment arrangements upon her sending me a bill. Well I still never received a bill. I received another letter in the mail, I called and was told I owed a different amount.$900 odd dollars. I told the lady to send me a bill explaining my charges. No bill was ever sent. I received another letter threatning my credit rating and a chargeo-off! I wrote 3 letters to 3 different agencies and sent a check for $300.00 explaining I would send the rest upon receiving a bill. One lady told me I would have to pay 45 dollars for a copy of my bill, and that I was being sued for $800 and some odd dollars plus $3,000 attorneys fees! I told her I was disputing the amount because I had been quoted 3 different figures she said that's your problem and hung up! It is not fair that my credit should be destroyed due to these people not proving to me what I really owe. They were rude, mean, and made threats that almost gave me a nervous breakdown. Someone needs to investigate why they can tell you you owe certain amounts but can not produce a statement showing what you owe.
