Ripoff scam bait and switch

Estchoicedigitial.com is the classic bait and switch operation. I ordered a video camera on line and it appeared the order had been entered. I received an email the following day instructing me to call customer service about my order.

I made the call and got to the guy who sent me the email (erik). He wanted to confirm my address and be sure the credit card company had the address.

He then asked me to hold for a minute while he checked the order. After 12 minutes on hold, a salesperson picks up the phone and offers assistance. I explained I was on hold for Erik, and he said he could help me.

Then the upsell started. You need a battery (even though I had an email from them that the camera included all manfacturer accessories), a charger, a lens kit because the camera won't take good pictures without it, a memory card... It went on and on.

The sales guy got po'd at me because I didn't want any of his upsell. He finally said he would place the order, but that it will take 2-4 weeks. Hmmmm. They had told me on the phone that the camera was available, and their web site said the same.

When pressed, he claimed they were waiting for delivery, and that I could cancel the order anytime and get the camera somewhere else.

Everything about them looks good until you place an order.

I wonder how they got the 3 star rating from RAM about their services. They probably do an upsell on RAM as well.

I'm trying to figure out how to put some heat on them for these practices. Anyone got an idea?
