First, I received an email through my school's email account, which is supposed to be free of fraudulent mailings, that showed a great deal on labtops. Since my husband is in graphic design and in much need of a portable pc, we decided to jump on this offer... Stupid me for not looking into the company, but I figured if the University allowed the email, then they should be legitament.

Upon arrival of the labtop, I was concerned at first that the only paperwork we received was an invoice of what we orderd. No back-up CDs, No registration papers, nothing but an invoice showing how much we paid... Which was WAY MORE than the advertised price ($1285).

After only two weeks, we found this machinery was faulty and called the 800 number that was on the invoice. After a million messages and some persistance, we finally got in touch with someone who told us to mail them the computer and they would send us another.

Two months later, and still no computer, my husband is irate. He really needs the computer for his job. He ends up having to talk with a Chinese gentleman with broken eglish who supposedly took over the company... They lost the computer in the warehouse along with our invoice number... Good for us for keeping the only piece of paper we received with the computer so we could let them know what the invoice number was. Three weeks later after this we finally receive the computer.

Now, my husband NEVER gets online with the labtop. It is strickly used for his photoshop/creative suites. ANd now 6 mos after receiving his "New" labtop... The monitor won't come on, and we have again left, a million messages at the 800 number on the invoice screen.

So, I went online to find a website for avtech to get another number. But, when I went to Google to find it, the consumer complaints.com was the first thing to pop up on it. I feel so violated, and my husband is going to go through the roof. We just want our money back so we can get one through Dell like we should have in the first place.
