Alexandria, Re-Bate Ripoff

WE did everything we had instructions to do. Made copies of the receipt, sent the upc code, proof of purchase, rebate form. The re-bate is for a Epson Stylus Printer C40UX, everything was sent off and on Jan 10th we get a letter of refusal since the receipt did not have a purchase date. We did not need a printer when we bought the computer ours was fine. We were talked into [urchasing the printer by the sales staff since there was a rebate/refund of the purchase price.

I went to the store, in Alexandria, VA, to obtain a receipt with a purchase date and was told that they could not go back and get a new receipt. So, then I wanted to return the printer and was told no since the box had been opened. The printer has never been used.

I am now send a letter to the corporate offices asking for the rebate from them and sending copies of everything I had sent originally to Epson Printers.

I am so tired of business thinking they can get away with this type of trickery. Many people lwill just let it go but, it is time to stand up and demand what we are told we deserve. Even if it is a small item, demand the service and respect, for being consummers. WE work hard ofr our money and when items purchased are not in working order or contracts fail to be filled we should point fingers at the business that has wronged the consumer and say enough is enough.
