MCi Worldcom scam

The company offered a free 45 day trial a cell phone with 45 min. Which I received and activated on Nov. 18 2000. I returned the phone within the alloted time and under the number of minutes (I had my sister witness the number of minutes on the phone) and then received confirmation from them and all charges would be dropped. Then I received another bill from them. I called again and spoke to a representative she (the previous rep.) didn't follow through on it and he would clear everything up and that I could call back later that day to verify it which I did and thought everything was OK.

Now a YEAR LATER they want $217 for termination fee and said I went over the alloted minutes which is totally untrue (again I have a witness). Why in the heck would they wait a year to tell me this? This seems like a big scam they are running. I've tried to clear it up with them but they won't work with me. Every time I wait for a half an hour or more and then when I speak to someone and try to explain the situation I either get hung up on or get put on hold then transfered to someone else and have to explain everything again.

The last time I asked to speak to the supervisor and was hung up on again. They seemed friendlier a year ago but they are just downright rude now. I now am writing the company and giving them 10 days to clear it up or I will be contacting the BBB, FTC, my Attorney General, etc.

Hope everyone has better luck that I have had. Take my advise and don't have anything do do with this company!!!
