Us appliances ships defective and damaged tvs! Buyer beware

Buyer Beware! US Appliance either ships damaged TVs or uses shipping companies that damage them and refuse to take responsibility for it. They have a HORRIBLE return policy!

The first TV we ordered from them, the shipping company called and said "we got your TV but the box is badly damaged, do you still want it?" I told them "NO" they then said they would get in touch with US Appliance to get another TV sent out. Three weeks passed and no TV. I called up US Appliance and they didn't know what was going on. The shipper never told them anything. The only good thing was since I never signed for the TV they would either refund or send another one out.

At this point I didn't think US Appliance was a bad retailer. They sent another TV through another shipping company and said this was a better carrier. When the TV arrived, the box was not damaged. We asked them to take it out of the box to show the TV wasn't damaged. The shipping company refused. They asked us to sign for the TV and noted there was no damage on the box.

This was the big mistake with US Appliance. These big plasma TVs weigh like 80 lbs. You need help to get it out. If you DO NOT REPORT DAMAGE WITHIN 1 BUSINESS DAY - US Appliance reserves the right to take your money and you're out of luck. This TV was damaged, the glass was shattered.

If you're shopping for TVs online - I recommend Amazon, Newegg or other reputable retailers like Sears or Best Buy. This was the very first time we purchased from US Appliance and it will be the last.
