OK heres our story.

Me and fiance, we were going through mci and then one day at&t called up and offerd a better offer. Unlimited long distance and all the goods for a straight monthly pay.

OK so then we make first paymet and then the second payment got lost in mail. OK so we made another payment, so because a payment got lost in mail we got behind on bills because of it. But anyways ok no problem with that so we decide to move and did i had th phone switched over to our new address. Then 2 days later it got shut off.

I fugured it was cause the payment for our next payment was due and it hadnt been payed. So I got the bill and was reading it and it said that because the bill had not been paid yet they would put a limit on long distance. So why was it shut off? So I called to find out why, they told me that we called and had it authorized to be shut off.

Huh hello. No I had to transferd. Well they eventually found that an error on their part but then I said how long till I can have it turned back on they said 48 hours. 48 hours passed I called I got the run around and they appologized of course and gave me antoher date for 3 days.

I basically got the run around for 3 weeks from 6 diff reps saying it was going to be turned back on.

So I asked to speak with manager and then they said that i would have to pay 60 bucks to get turned back on. (oh yea I did pay up to date on the bill to). So the bill was not behind.

The manager said 60 bucks and I would have to get new phone number. Bbut in their rules and regualtions it say that if phone gets shut off it charges 10 dollar fee to turn back on.

So why do I have to get new number? Sshe told me that their system is not set up to turn back on the same number??? So I told her I have to pay for somthing that was your company's fault and then have my number changed, and it clearly says that they can turn you phone back on with same number.

But thats not what im worried about. I decided to say screw it I have been getting the run around with these guy for a month so I just decided to go with another phone company (comcast).

THEY (AT&T) are still billing me for service I don't have with them. This crap is gonna go on my credit report and I don't need anymore of that. Aand when I call all I get is some foriegn person I can hardly understand that I have to just hang up on cause they can not answer my questions. They just give me the run around.
