Rain Soft Water System does not work -RIPOFF - They will not take it back or service it! Scam

I have a story that I feel everyone should know about and beaware of. Two months ago I received several phone calls from Day Star Marketing offering me a free tap water test because I was a new homeowner (just moving here from New York), so I agreed as we were supposed to receive a free dinner and a movie for getting the test done.

A rep came and didd all kinds of tests to show us how dirty and polluted our water was and convinced us to buy their water treatment system that was supposed to soften and purify our water. Plus we would receive a 5 year supply of soaps and detergents for free. All of this for $4,000.00! The next morning we decided it was too much money and called to cancel and they immediately told us they can take $1,500.00 off the price and sell it to us for $2,500.00!

We said OK come install it. They did the next day and 2 days later a rep came and asked to see if it was working correctly (it only improved slightly but still polluted) The water still smells and tastes bad and we called the company several times to come fix it and got no response. We finally got fed up and complained to various agencies about their system and service and was told we would have to take them to court. The "free" dinner and movie tickets turned out to be a $15.00 gift card to Pappa Johns with a coupon for a free DVD from Pappa Johns when you order a pizza. (not Red Lobster and two tickets to a movie theater).

The "5" year supply of soap I got two months ago is already 1/4 of the way gone! I noticed my 7 month old baby has been vomitting alot the past two months and did not think anything of it untill a Culligan rep came to my house today to test my water and found that my water is WORSE than it was before! That is why she throws up every time I make her bottle with the water from the sink! I just got my first finance bill from Rain Soft's company and I will not pay it. This company Day Star Marketing has SEVERAL complaints against them with the Better Business Bureau in Clearwater and SEVERAL complaints on usacomplaints.com, not to mention the FTC and Consumer Affairs.

They have the biggest scam going here and apparently a few people know about it. They prey on people that just moved into Florida and do not know any better. They need to be stopped or shut down or something! I think this story needs to be exposed to the public before more people in the area get ripped off!!!
