Ripoff dishonest fraudulent mortgage scams Aurora & Springs

Complaint:

In June I called STC Mortgage for mortgage rates. Chris Navarro called me back and claimed they could provide a 5.75% or less mortgage but they couldn't quote anything until they had an application. I told them that I would go ahead and fill out the application over the phone. He said he had to come to my home. I told him that no other mortgage broker works this way—he said that is was against company policy to do it that way. I should have just hung up at that point.

Anyway after some additional coaxing, I ended up giving him basic information over the phone. He said he would need the foms signed and since he was local he would just come by the house for the signatures. When he showed up at the house, he had me sign some general papers and the loan application but the loan application was blank. He acted like he was suprised and said he forgot to fill it out and that all the information was written on a piece of paper at the office. I expressly told him that I wanted to see the completed paperwork prior to any filing. He said he would go back to the office, complete it and return. I told him to call me when the paperwork was filled and that I would come to him office and verify it. He said fine.

When he left and didn't contact me back, I called him but couldn't get through because the number he gave me wasn't his number and there was no one else to answer the phone. When he finally called me back, he told me that the paperwork was already being processed. I was very angry and reminded him that he was NOT to process and paperwork. Further, nothing was signed by my husband. I told him I wanted to see the paperwork. He said he didn't have it. I told him I wanted a copy, he said he couldn't get a copy because he didn't have it. He told me that they don't work that was and the paperwork was already in for consideration.

I immediately told him to cancel the application and return all documentation with an affidavit that they did not keep any of my documentation. He said sure. A week later, I received nothing. Again, I tried to call with no results so I called the Denver office and left a message with with so-called President. He also didn't call back. I continued to call daily. Finally I did receive a package but it was mumbo jumbo stuff and did not contain the originally signed form or affidavit as I had asked. I talked to the Mortgage Association who suggested that I file a complaint and a police report that they may be using the documentation for fraudulent purposes or impersonation.

The association warned me that they could actually initiate a loan in my name without me knowing. I went out the the internet and found several items concerning this company. Seems they have committed fraud before. Also, I found complaints specifically against Chris Navarro. Please raise warning flags about this company and help me get my original paperwork out of their hands.
