Sales Associate, So called Advisor HARRASSMENT

Education & Science

I was thinking about going back to school to further my education and possibly get my degree. After I submitted my info via U of P website, I rec'd a phone call soon after from a so called "Counselor".

I listened to what she had to say about the school and what they had to offer. She was very persistent to have me come meet with her and discuss things further. She called me at work and left a message; then called my mobile and left a message, followed by an email. I figured, "What the hell... Speak with the woman, see what the school has to offer and we'll see..." I had NO intentions of signing up. So, I made arrangements to meet with her on a Thurs. Evening.

When I arrived, she was all ready for me to login to their website to complete the application. I hesitated and told her my intentions of wanting to learn more about the program: cost, hours, classes, etc. She was so surprised when I told her my intentions and so we sat and discussed all the options available.

She highly suggested that I just take a class and try it out and see how it goes and also do my research about before signing on. I did what she suggested and found usacomplaints.com and other sites which helped me make my decision.

The following day, she tried to contact me again. Being that I busy at work, I didn't answer her calls. I would have thought that since they know they're calling your place of employment, that you are probably busy. Again, she leaves me a voicemail on my work number, mobile, followed by an email; repeating things that she has told me twice before.

The Monday following, again, I receive the phone calls and an email. This time, I found this to be a bit on the ridulous side. This was getting to be annoying and I started to feel as if I had a "stalker", so I didn't bother returning her calls or email.

Tuesday comes along, and it's the same deal. This time, her voicemail message was different. The tone of her voice and the crap that she started saying?! As if she were talking down to me. Where is the professionalism?!

I didn't listen to the whole message on my desk phone. I deleted it since I was getting very annoyed. Same goes with the voicemail on my mobile. Of course, she followed things off with an email. This was her email:

I have three serious questions for you and I want an
answer for them by this
evening:

Why do you want your degree?

How long have you been wanting this?

Why have you not completed this degree ALL THIS
TIME?

I am quite serious about this. You came in, you got
info, I answered your
questions and heard your fears and concerns. Now
tell me what's holding back
all these years? If you know you need it and you
gave me reason on wanting
it. What are your reasons not wanting it now?

Excuse me? She wanted an answer for those questions by that evening? First of all, who does she think she is? Secondly, what kind of professionalism is that!?!?! She's crazy!

I decided to just end it. And let her know that I did as she suggested and did my research. I forwarded her the link to usacomplaints.com and to another website and told her that I had no intentions of signing up with them.

I also requested that she not contact me anymore and that my contact info be removed from the U of P list. Not to my surprise, I received reply from her.

I plan on calling the school and filing a complaint about their Senior Enrollment Counselor's LACK of professionalism.

And to think, I'm not even a student and I'm posting a complaint!
