Ripoff - Will I be deported? -Debited my account for $139 -no Birth Cert

I am going on a Cruise to Cozemel with the "girls" on May 19th.in 25 years of marriage I've never been anywhere without my kids and husband.in the past my husband would never have agreed to this but he's the one who suggested I go (God knows what he and his best buds have planed for those 5 days).

After reading over documents needed to travel for cruise, I started looking for my birth certificate and/or passport. After several days searching I realized I had lost them. I researched the internet and realized that since I was born in Germany to an American Citizen, obtaining my birth certificate would be a lengthy process (taking anywhere from 6-12 weeks).

During my search I had noticed companies promising birth certificates in several days (even a consul birth certificate - which I needed).

I decided on National Birth Certificates, the first step was entering my personal info. And my debit card number, submitting it and receiving an order confirmation via E-mail, I received that confirmation immediately. The order confirmation E-mail instructed me to Fax the Birth Ceritficate order form and a copy of my drivers license, I also had to FEDEX all my info. To this company which included a certified affidavit stating I had lost my Birth Certificate, copy of my marriage license, my voters registration card, my mother's passport (she was a German citizen) and any other info I thought would speed up the process, they would e-mail me a confirmation on the fax and Fedex receipt.

You guessed it no e-mail confirmation, since I had received an immediate confirmation for the payment and nothing on the fax - I called them at their 1-800 number that day. Their "Answering Service" picked-up and I left a message with them. The next day - no return call and I called again - same answering service responsed and informed me I would get a return call in 48 business hours (by that Wednesday).

To make a long story short - I called 12 times in 4 days and e-mailed them 6 times - always got their answering service (called at 8:00 am, 12:00 noon, 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 10:00 pm, 11:30 pm) never them, my e-mails where never read, much less responsed to, and when I attempted to leave a message on the company's voicemail was notified that the mail box was full.

I finally (fool that I am) called the BBB, and was informed they had numerous reports on this company for failure to supply product and failure to contact consumer. And that an investigation of this company was in process.

I filed a discrepancy with my bank that day - 4 days after placing the order (three weeks later and I just was informed that I will have to wait until I receive a letter from them to "START" this investigation - could take anywhere from 45-60 days for them to determine if valid complaint).

In the mean time I have gone though a local service and after 12 days and $245.00 have received my American birth certificate. My father had already volunteered to adopt me and my husband promised to testify to US customs in case the US government tried to deport me - so nice to have a supportive father and husband.

No response from National Birth Certificate, the bank, nor BBB. But I am going on my Cruise (boy is my husband relieved).

Yes, I am worried that since I supplied this company with all my legal documents and they have my debit card number that my nightmare has just started. I have alerted the bank, and the credit bureaus (like that's going to help).

My goal here is to make sure no one else gets ripped off by this company - since BBB is aware of this company's record but it still is on the internet taking innocent (and yes stupid) people's money and maybe idenities.
