Ed and Mary Ann Cowger
Complaint I read was so true!

I could not believe the report I read this morning about the Cowgers at People's Baptist Church. It was so true and on point. The worst part was the difference in standards for the Cowger family and the people in the "rehab". There was a dress code, no pants on women. When the Cowger's daughter came for a visit, she ran around the church in jeans. A woman from the home had her mother show up in pants and Mrs. Cowger ran out to her car and scolded her. Her kids were absolutely the worst! Their son looks like any other person on the street, baggy pants, shaved head, tattoos, etc. Their two daughters had the run of the homes and carried their cell phones everywhere (not allowed for anyone else). They made friends with some of the ladies and, yes, allowed them to use their cell phones for texting and Facebook. They also took whatever they wanted from donations and food and had women from the homes clean their trailers (yes, they live in trailers...) So glad to get out of there and back to the real world.

Lester Roloff would NOT be happy with the Cowgers, to say the least. I KNOW of several instances where they have lied, which is certainly not allowed! They also have some sort of ego problem, although they stepped into this ministry at a time when no one else was around and are now using it for their own family. The surely do not know what they are doing when it comes to helping anyone with a substance abuse problem.

The facilities are run down, nothing is up to code, there have been no inspections in years. I doubt if the fire extinguishers work and the fire exits are locked and blocked with old furniture. Oh, well, as long as they can get away with it. I feel like I was in a cult. Sometimes I wondered if I would ever get out.
