Beware of fake calls ripoff

I almost got ripped off. I recieved a phone call stating I won 500,000.000. The person I spoke to said he would arrive at the airport at 8:41am on April 9th. He would be at my house at 9-9:15. He then told me he would be bringing tax lawyers and T.V. Crew to video tape the advent and to have tea and coffee ready for their arrival. He also stated he would have roses, 6ft cashiers check, limos, and balloons. He said they would be at my house about 45 min to one hour. Then he wanted to know my address, and directions from the closest airport.

He also wanted to know what bank I bank with. I told him I did not have an account open. He stated I would need somewhere to cash the check and wanted to know the bank of my choice, I gave him the information. He said we would leave my house and go to the bank and deposit the check. Then go to a lunchen of my choice. He asked where would I like to go, I told him.

Then he started in about the taxes and I knew right away that something was wrong. He said I needed 175.00 to go into an escrow account for the taxes and I told him I did not have that much money and he asked me if I could get the money, I told him yes. He said he would call me back with the information to send it to. He never called back. Thank GOD I did not give him any information...
