Ancestry.com
Ripoff! False advertising on trial subscriptions

Education & Science

I recently tried a trial membership on ancestry.com. I e-mailed the company to cancel my membership. Because I did not call 2 weeks before the membership was up, I am now being charged 24.95 monthly for the next year.

This company is the worst kind of business because they mislead individuals into thinking that it is a risk-free trial subscription. The risk is giving a company private information that they will later use without permission based on small print information that they tuck away in their website.
