I had contacted TutorJam for tutoring sessions. Melanie had been extremely pushing us trying to lure us to try TutorJam and that they had wonderful tutors and state of art technology that helps cover and send messages instantly. I found the marketing spill very convincing and decided to try it out. It was extremely disappointing. I verified with her the tutoring plans and what they were planning to cover during the tutoring sessions.

However during the actually sessions: There was lack of preparation for the session, Material to discuss was being searched for on web simultaneously while the session was ongoing Technical issues with sound systems. Time wasted. Messages were not being returned. I had to actually call her up each time to ask the tutors to check messages. Received responses after 4-5 days. So much for implementing technology. Lack of follow up. I had to actually call her to drive things we had initially discussed e.G. Assigning homework etc. If it is technical issue or nothing is being covered in the session they cannot guarantee satisfaction because it is the corporate terms of the condition. They do not offer replacement sessions period. I just off phone with her. She did try to communicate to the tutors but the tutor did not implement her plan. There was gap in communication. I spoke with the tutor as well and she seemed to accept and acknowledge on what needed to be done. But I didn't see it happening. Most of the sessions were wasted. I wouldn't say all of them. I just wanted to post this out so others become aware of this. At the end of this, because she cant do much due to corporate rules I just decide to stop continuing with tutorjam.
