Denver Business College
Charged me for classes i never took

About 19 years ago, i enrolled in a computer graphics arts class with a school called denver business college. I was going to learn how to create graphics on a computer earn my degree and make a better life for me and my unborn child. Imagine my surprise when after only two weeks of computer training, i was told that the course i was enrolled in was designed for working at a newspaper! I was furious.

I talked to my instructer about this and was assured that there would be more computer work, just to hang in there. Several weeks later, still no computer work. I quit the class and was assured once again that i would not be charged for the schooling i received via my student loan, that my pell grant would be used to pay for the schooling i had received.

Cut to present date... I am now in default for a student loan for over $5,000. My pell grant was returned (or so i thought) and the student loan was used to pay the "school". Denver business college no longer exists... The finance company that had my loan after i defaulted no longer exists and i am going to have to pay the loan in full if i want to go back to college. How is this fair??? Isnt there some law against stealing from the U.S. Government? Will i have to file for bankruptsy? I am furious!!!
