Captial Vacations
Ripoff artists, preying on unsuspecting people

Education & Science

My wife recieved a phone call from a telemarketer about a vactation. She told them she was not interested, and they told her they would send her a packet of information for her to look at. She still told them she was not interested, however, a little later this company, Capital Vacations, took $59.95 out of our checking account. First of all, we never authorized this, and secondly we never received any packet of information from this comapany to "preview". I called their toll free number and "canceled" through a automated phone answereing service being assured I would recieve a refund. Not only did I not receive a refund.

The next month, my account was debited another $59.95 from this same company. This time I kept calling their number until I finally talked to a real person. He told me they could not refund the first charge, but they wouuld refund the second. They never did and then the next month they charged my account $49.95. I guess I am going to have to close that bank account and open another. What a hassle. This is a company of crooks and thugs.
