Illegal Business Practices. I was an employee that service children without a proper background check and also didnt recieve new hirepaper work and was never paid for my services

I was hired as a tutor with Sylvan Learning Center at 3200 Spring Forest Rd in Raleigh North Carolina and was asked on my date of hire if I was willing to start early and help out the 7209 Creedmoor Rd in Raleigh location since they were short handed and the director of the center was out on sick leave. I agreed and I contact Katie Kondylas about my work schedule but because she had quit the next day Oct 30th I never recieved a response back from her. So on Nov 3rd I called to verify my work schedule. I wasn't told tutoring starts at 4:30 so I first day was Nov 4 at 4:30-6:30. There was no supervisors just 4 tutors and no one could tell me what I was suppose to do so I shadowed the tutors until I knew Shante Rouse the Director of the location would return to work. I inquired about new hire paperwork and was told to wait til Shante gets back. So Nov 10th comes and again I don't know my work schedule and since I had a newborn who was sick I called their location and told them that I will report tomorrow and didn't know what time to come in and if someone will give me a call for a schedule I instead received a email from Debra Benicek the Executive Director stating that since I was late for work the three days that they terminiated me. I was in complete shock when I had been calling several times and sent emails about my hours. I email Debra back and told her that I need to come in a fill out the necessary paperwork for my pay. She never responded I called numerous times to find out why I can't come in and fill out a W-2 to get my money. I was getting the run around and Shante Rouse stated that Debra is handling it and she will put a check in the mail and she will have instructions on what I need to do to file for taxes. It has been two months and still I can not get a phone call or even an email from Debra Benicek about this manner.
