Ripoff, slime-ball, fraudulent ripoff business

This company just started calling on 07/17. They first tried to bulldoze over my fiance (bad move) about a debt that is over 11 years old. They tried to get his ss# with a verifying technique that is taught to all con artists. He told Theo Longly that he would have to research and see what this was about.

Theo called back on 07/19, he tried to patronize by fiance by saying things like "you look like a smart guy" (by phone?!) and by setting up a payment arrangment they he faxed to our house. My fiance never agreed to a payment arrangment and we immediately got started researching all the info that we could on the SOL in FL and any other pertinent information on outdated accounts that no longer show up on the credit report.

Today, 07/22, he tried to bogart info out of my 11 year old daughter. Thank God I was nearby. I asked him if he wanted to leave a message for my fiance and he started to tell me how they had been trying to get in touch with my fiance, and how my fiance has a lot going on in his life, he asked me if we were married and how long we had been married, were our finances joined and other personal questions.

I asked him what do the questions have to do with him leaving a message; he said everything. He quickly put me on hold and when he came back to the phone he just abruptly gave a phone number and hung up (like I didn't already know what he had found out; he'd crossed the line in questioning).

We found out that sCAMCO was involved in a class action suit in FL but several people in legislation keep them protected. They claim to be a finance corp but according to the fax they seny they are a debt collection co that should be held to the FDCPA standards (but not here in FL).

We are still trying to research any and every method that we can to get this company to stop harassing not only our family, but others that feel they are being manipulated by this bogus company.
